Verification codes and OTP
Confirm sign-ups and protect logins with one-time passcodes sent by text.
Read moreOrbis Verify sends one-time passcodes by text to confirm that a person really controls the phone number they gave you. SMS OTP uses your standard SMS credits.
A one-time passcode adds a check that is hard for a fraudster to fake: the code goes to a phone the genuine customer holds. Businesses use it to confirm new sign-ups, add a second step at login, approve password resets and double-check sensitive changes such as updating bank details or delivery addresses. It reduces fake accounts and account takeover without asking customers to download anything.
Verification messages through Orbis Verify use the same SMS credits as your other texts, unless special routing is required for your use case. There is no separate subscription. If you expect very high volumes, talk to us about your needs.
Keep verification texts short and unambiguous. Lead with your business name, show the code clearly, say how long it is valid and remind people never to share it. Never include links in a code message, as that pattern is widely copied by phishing scams. Orbis Verify must only be used for genuine authentication and fraud reduction, never for impersonation or deceptive messages.
